Dear PAMET OFFICERS:

One fine day in late March of 2010, I made two very important decisions--first, I gave up my job as a caregiver, and second, I joined PAMET’s review class to prepare myself to challenge the Medical Technology board exams.  A new chapter was opened as I walked into a room of destined possibilities and the opportunity to be better for myself, for others, and for God.  I, together with dear friends I met that day, believed that this was fate.  It was not an accident but part of a master plan laid for us to realize as we have come together.

Ever since I came to the United States in 2008, I have embraced God’s promises through Jeremiah 29:11--”For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord; “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Through the tremendous support of the PAMET Officers and Review Staff led by Pres. Dan Dominguez, through sacrifices for weekends meant for family bonding or personal rest, through inspiring anecdotes from my review classes and groupmates, and through strong will and faith in God to see us through even with depleted finances just to prioritize our group reviews...WE PREVAILED!

I would like to personally thank everyone who made this possible:

I thank God for the victory!  He continues to amaze me as He fulfills His promises.

The PAMET Officers who made sure we were OK during the review classes and that we started on time, who gave breakfast on most meetings and special lunches free of charge, who prepared the test materials for our MOCK and pre-board exams, who coached us with Q&A’s beyond the review period, who constantly reminded us to be more focused on our reviews, who invited the LFS Officers to meet us, who invited the AAB group to conduct the board exam on the same location of our reviews to save us from added financial stress to travel to farther areas where this is usually held, who until now continue to give us updates on job openings so we can apply and land a job as a clinical laboratory scientist.

The Review Staff who prepared their review materials to deliver a tough subject in the simplest form possible for us to ‘gobble and digest’ in so short a time during our sessions with them, who gave us pointers on what to focus on and acronyms which made our reviews more interesting and exciting to learn or relearn, who made sure we understood what we have learned and be able to rationalize the WHYs and HOWs of the WHATs.

The Laboratory Field Services representatives who patiently explained to us the procedure we have to follow to expedite the processing of our documents in preparation for our board exams.

My classmates who made our review classes enjoyable and memorable.

My groupmates; who, after the PAMET review classes, made the review sessions more bearable, interesting, and inspiring no matter how insanely hard we have to understand some topics we have never encountered during our instruction years.  Through those meetings, we have devised our own personalized acronyms, thus came the group named PLASMA PROTEIN.

It had been a wonderful journey until now to have met the above mentioned groups who inspired me to be better and continually push me to be more aggressive in making a mark in the healthcare industry through the laboratory field.

One day, this will come.  And on that fateful day, another chapter will open...

To God be the glory for everything that has happened and for everything that has yet to be realized.  May He find us all faithful in our service.
